DID YOU KNOW?
The first game of women's Basketball (Netball) was played in America in 1892
and in 1897 they played on grass in England.
In those days a closed basket was used and it was the umpires task whenever a goal was scored
to climb up a ladder to retrieve the ball, much to the amusement of the spectators.
